JOHANNESBURG – Women comprise half of tourism’s workforce, with 37-percent earning more than their peers in other industries. 
Given the sector’s significant role in advancing women, experts are urging more women to consider careers in tourism.

The sector is projected to contribute 10.4-percent to South Africa’s GDP, and create more than two million jobs by 2030.
